Symbiosis Chair

The Symbiosis Chair was crafted to foster a symbiotic bond between humans and plants. Its design, featuring a cushion made of sheep’s wool, allows plants to freely spread across its surface.

However, they require watering by a human at least every three days, leading to a deeper interdependence. The roots of the plants are partially visible to the user, encouraging a unique connection with nature.

In return, the plants aid in relaxation and seamlessly integrate nature into the user’s daily life.

The project garnered a nomination for the 8th International Bauhaus Marianne Brandt Award and was showcased at the Industrial Museum Chemnitz.
